Vienna Serenade was organized in 2023 and has performed

several concerts in Central Pennsylvania over the past three

years including the Huntingdon Arts Council music series and

at Foxdale Village in State College. The ensemble performs

primarily music of old Vienna by composers such as Johann

Strauss, Emil Waldteufel, Joseph Lanner, and others. This

delightful music from the 19th century European Romantic

Era brings to life the elegance, energy, and beauty of that time

in history.

Each member is a seasoned professional musician from

central Pennsylvania, many of whom perform in other local

ensembles such as the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra,

Nittany Valley Symphony, Williamsport Symphony and the

Altoona Symphony. Many of our members are well-known

instrumental instructors and some also work in other fields

in addition to their musical endeavors.
